In the year 1998, following the vision of God, Calvary Gospel Missionary Movement was established. Our founder, Bro. T. Asir Gnanaraj, and a few other men of faith built this organization on their faith rather than on foreign funds. Calvary Gospel Missionary Movement was founded mainly to pray for the nation of India, to raise prayerful people, to form many prayer groups comprising of prayer warriors and teaching them to stand on knees for our nation and organizing several prayer meetings specifically three days fasting prayer camps twice or thrice a year to pray for the revival of India. Secondly, focusing on the vision of "India knowing our Lord Jesus Christ" and pursuing the divine plan, our founder, Bro. T. Asir Gnanaraj, and a few brothers in Christ earnestly prayed for two years before the first three missionaries were sent out to the state of Odisha in 2002. Now Calvary Gospel Missionary Movement is preaching the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ through 184 full time missionaries among 13 tribal races in 6 districts of Odisha. Through our ministry 168 worship and prayer groups have been formed and more than 30 completely and properly finished churches have been built in Odisha. Other than this, sand and straw built churches, cement built churches and churches functioning in rented places are also functioning through our ministry. Each missionary is given responsibility over 10 villages. Following the instructions of God, dedicated and talented missionaries are separated and are made to form gospel teams. These missionaries specifically fast and pray every Tuesday and then set out to villages to preach the good news of Jesus Christ. Through this, worship and prayer groups are formed in a village and when many people gather together, initiatives to build churches in that village are taken. Gospel is reached out to people in many different ways, such as: gospel tracts, gospel meetings, gospel through drama and gospel films, open prayer meetings, deliverance prayer camps where people are healed from their sickness and are delivered from bondages of demons.
