CALVARY GOSPEL MISSIONARY MOVEMENT
Women's
Ministry
In the vast expanse of Odisha, comprising approximately 52,000 villages across 30 districts, a diverse tapestry of 62 tribal races calls this land home. Among these communities, our ministry has honed its focus on the empowerment and upliftment of tribal women, recognizing their unique challenges and vulnerabilities.

Tribal women in Odisha often face daunting obstacles, particularly in the realm of marriage and education. Many are wed at a tender age, lacking the necessary understanding and preparation for such unions. This dearth of knowledge often leads to multiple marriages throughout their lifetime, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the futures of both these women and their children.

Furthermore, access to education remains a distant dream for many tribal women in Odisha, with only a scant few afforded the opportunity to pursue learning. This educational disparity perpetuates cycles of poverty and marginalization within these communities.

In response to these pressing issues, our ministry has mobilized efforts to empower tribal women, with a particular emphasis on education and spiritual enrichment. Leveraging the influence and dedication of the wives of our missionaries, we engage directly with these women, offering practical guidance on marriage and advocating for the value of women's education.

Through targeted initiatives such as women's prayer camps, we provide a supportive environment for tribal women to grow spiritually and develop as prayerful individuals. These gatherings serve as catalysts for transformation, instilling a sense of empowerment and purpose within each participant.

By the grace of God, our efforts have borne fruit, with over 4,000 women emerging as prayer warriors within the state of Odisha. Their fervent intercession and newfound spiritual strength serve as beacons of hope within their communities, heralding a brighter future for generations to come.
